Judge Michael Gardner sentenced a Cape Girardeau man who pleaded guilty to second-degree robbery to eight years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.
Felawn Smith Jr., 18, robbed two women of money at gunpoint June 26 in the Wal-Mart parking lot at 3439 William St.
He was arrested by Cape Girardeau police after a traffic stop, according to a probable-cause statement filed in the case.
Victims identified the Chevrolet Trailblazer in which Smith was a passenger, according to the statement.
Cape Girardeau County Prosecuting Attorney Chris Limbaugh wrote in a news release the robbery was Smith's first offense.
