A public hearing set aside for input drew not a single comment about Cape Girardeau's capital improvements program Monday night. The city council is required by charter to seek public input on the program that tops $230 million for more than 180 funded and unfunded projects.
The program, which looks at 2012 to 2017, sets priorities for the city's major and minor transportation, recreation and environmental projects and is drawn annually. As mandated by the city charter, the council must adopt the program by April 1.
