An Arkansas man who allegedly stabbed another man during a May party in Cape Girardeau waived his preliminary hearing Monday at the Cape Girardeau County courthouse.
Brandin Rowe, 20, of Jonesboro, will now appear before a Division II court judge June 20. He's charged with four counts of first-degree assault and armed criminal action. Rowe, with two others, Kollin Payne of Cape Girardeau and Kemond Hillis of Ullin, Ill., was arrested after a May 7 altercation where the three men allegedly attacked four others at a house party in the 300 block of North Pacific Street.
Three men received minor injuries and one man was stabbed, although his injuries were not life threatening.
Payne, charged with first-degree assault, is set to appear for his preliminary hearing Aug. 3. Hillis, charged with hindering prosecution, a felony, was recently given time to hire private counsel after the public defender's office withdrew from his case. He'll appear before a judge again June 30.
