Cape hazardous waste collection taking place

The city of Cape Girardeau will collect household hazardous waste today from 9 a.m. to noon at the Arena Park 4-H shelter. Cape Girardeau city residents can drop off hazardous waste ranging from paint to pesticides, public works director Tim Gramling said. The city has hired Inter-Rail Systems Inc. to handle and safely dispose of or recycle the collected material.
