Eleven-year-old author Tara Koosak has written and published her second book, "Boy Girl Daze Craze."

Koosak, of Cape Girardeau, was in third grade when she wrote and illustrated her first book of cartoons entitled "School-Biz Is..." The second edition of that book, published by Stewart Printing and Publishing of Marble Hill, was released last spring.

In her second book of cartoons, Koosak talks about why boys and girls sometimes get along and sometimes don't.

Since she wrote the first book, Koosak has been a guest speaker at schools, clubs and libraries. She has participated in several book exhibitions, workshops and book autographing sessions.

She is now scheduling visits to schools and libraries to promote the new book.

Koosak is also working on the third and fourth book in the series tentatively titled "Pun Running" and "More School Biz."

She has created a club kit to go along with her book series, which includes a button, a newsletter, a membership card and a game. She has also invented a School-Biz Kids board game.

Koosak is a fifth grade student at Alma Schrader Elementary School. She is a classroom reporter and cartoonist for her school's newspaper.

School-Biz Kids, the name of her book series, is a registered trademark and has been listed in the official gazette of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
