According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Tammy R. Carpenter, 41, was transported to Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis by medical helicopter after the motorcycle she was riding ran off the road at 7:20 p.m. on Route WW.
The driver of the motorcycle, Christopher D. O'Connell, 47 of Cape Girardeau, received minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital in Ste. Genevieve, Mo.
