A Cape Girardeau woman is facing charges of misdemeanor stealing and unlawful use of a weapon, which stem from a domestic altercation that happened early Thursday morning.
According to Darin Hickey of the Cape Girardeau Police Department, Sheraton M. Lockridge, 23, was in the South Middle Street apartment of another woman when an argument between them occurred at about 12:30 a.m. Lockridge allegedly refused to leave when asked and brandished a knife at the alleged victim, but ultimately left the apartment at her continued urging. After Lockridge left, the alleged victim discovered that her wallet was missing and notified the police, she told authorities. Police found Lockridge in the vicinity of the woman's apartment and arrested her. Police found the wallet in a routine pat-down.
Lockridge was being held at the Cape Girardeau Police Department on Friday in lieu of $500 cash-only bond.
