The Cape Girardeau School Board elected new officers during a special meeting Monday.

Stacy Kinder was re-elected as the board's president. Kyle McDonald, who was recently re-elected in the April 3 municipal election, was elected vice president. Don Call was elected as a delegate to the Missouri School Boards Association.

The board also swore in its newest member, Lynn Ware. Ware, a coordinator of community programs for the Cape Girardeau Police Department, won her seat over Deneke Murphy in the municipal election.
