Two Cape Girardeau men were among those injured in separate motor vehicle accidents Friday afternoon.
Around 1:30 p.m. a 1994 Chevrolet driven by Anita S. Harrison, 57, of Dexter, Mo., was traveling northbound on US 60 at County Road 371, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The vehicle failed to yield to a 2004 Pontiac Sunfire driven by Aaron R. Ulrich, 29, of Cape Girardeau, eastbound on the roadway. That resulted in the Sunfire striking the Chevrolet.
Harrison sustained serious injuries, Ulrich, moderate injuries, and a passenger in the Chevorlet, Susan E. Hann, 36, of Dexter, minor injuries.
Only Hann was wearing a seat belt.
Then, at 2:44 p.m., James U. Thomure, 66, of Cape Girardeau was driving his 1987 International tractor trailer truck westbound on Route KK when the vehicle ran off the roadway. The International then overturned, the highway patrol said.
Thomure, who was not wearing a seat belt, was treated for moderate injuries.
