Rex Rust of Cape Girardeau has graduated cum laude from Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass., with a bachelor's degree in economics.
While at the university, Rust was a member of the Harvard Investment Association and vice chairman of the agriculture committee in the Harvard Model Congress. He was active in the Institute of Politics at the Kennedy School of Government and was awarded a "Major H" in baseball.
Rust spent a semester studying at the London School of Economics in London, England.
Rust will be working as a financial analyst at Smith Barney in New York City.
Rust graduated from high school at the Deerfield Academy in Deerfield, Mass.
He is the son of Gary and Wendy Rust of Cape Girardeau.
