Cape Girardeau house fire under investigation

An official from the Cape Girardeau Fire Department inspects the second floor of a structure for fire Wednesday at 501 South Middle Street in Cape Girardeau. According to Battalion Chief Kelly Allen, no one was home in the top apartment at the time of the fire and the residents in the bottom apartment got out safely. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
