A tractor trailer dribbling fuel drove for several blocks before the leaking tank was plugged, firefighters said. The leak began near the 400 block of Broadway and continued south along West End Boulevard then west on William to the intersection of Christine and Good Hope streets. The driver eventually was alerted to the problem.

Firefighters responded to the call about 9:30 p.m. The exact amount of fuel dripping from the tank was not known. No one was injured but the fuel did have the potential for a road hazard, firefighters said.
