The City of Cape Girardeau Public Works Department has announced a new debris pick-up plan for the collection of the extremely damaged trees and tree limbs caused by the winter storms that recently moved through our area. The City has entered into a contract with Mariott Logging from Brookfield, Missouri for collection of the debris. The contractor began work today in zone A and will work the zones in alphabetical order; it is anticipated that they will complete one pass through the entire city in about 10 days. Residents may refer to the map provided to identify their particular zone. The contractor will collect all debris that has been placed at the curb for collection by City of Cape Girardeau Residents. Residents also continue to have an additional option for storm damaged limb and tree disposal.
