Cape Girardeau city government closes recreational facilities

The Cape Girardeau city government announced via news release today that it's recreational facilities are closing due to the threat of severe weather.

The release said the following:

"City recreational facilities including A.C. Brase Arena, Osage Centre and Shawnee Park Center will be closed this evening at 5 p.m. because of the threat of severe weather. Recreational actvities managed by the City of Cape Girardeau Parks & Recreation Department scheduled indoors and outdoors have been cancelled for the evening."
