Consent Ordinances

(Second and third readings)

An ordinance amending Chapter 29 of the City Code relating to duty of owners to connect to public sewers.

An ordinance authorizing the acquisition of property for the improvement of Silver Springs Road between Missouri Route 74 and Mount Auburn Road.

An ordinance approving the record plat of Mansouri Subdivision.

An ordinance reaffirming the action of the city council declaring it necessary to improve, providing for the improvement, directing the city manager to enter into a contract to do the work, and providing for the manner of payment of the work, of making certain sewer improvements in Sewer District No. 14-K-7, by constructing sanitary sewers to serve certain properties along Perryville Road.

An ordinance levying a special assessment for the Siemers Drive widening from Campster Drive to Bloomfield Road, and authorizing the issuance of special tax bills therefore.

An ordinance establishing the boundaries of Lateral Sewer District No. 14-1-F-8A, a subdivision of Trunk Sewer District No. 14-1-F, approving the plans and authorizing the construction of a system of sanitary lateral sewers in Lateral Sewer District No. 14-1-F-8A, under a private contract subject to certain provisions.

An ordinance authorizing the mayor to execute Amendment No. 1 to an agreement with the Missouri Department of Transportation for a grant to fund a general public transportation project to be funded under Chapter 53 (5311) of Title 49, U.S. Code.

An ordinance providing for a sales tax in the amount of one-quarter of one percent for the purpose of providing revenues for the operation of the Cape Girardeau Fire Department and calling an election on the question of whether to impose such sales tax.

An ordinance imposing a use tax for general revenue purposes at the rate of 2 percent for the privilege of storing, using or consuming within the City any article of tangible personal property pursuant to the authority granted by and subject to the provisions of Sections 144.600 through 144.761 RSMo; providing for the use tax to be reduced or raised in the same amount as any city sales tax is reduced or raised; and calling an election on the question of whether to impose such use tax.

An ordinance calling an election on the question whether the city shall establish a stormwater management utility for the purpose of providing funds for flood control and the operation of the city's stormwater systems and facilities; designating the time of holding the election; authorizing and directing the city clerk to give notice of the election.

An ordinance calling an election on the question whether the city shall impose an ad valorem property tax of ten cents per one hundred dollars assessed valuation for the purpose of providing funds for the general revenue of the city; designating the time of holding the election; authorizing and directing the city clerk to give notice of the election.

An ordinance approving the Final Redevelopment Plan submitted by the Marquette Plaza 353 Redevelopment Corporation for the redevelopment of the properties located at 338 Broadway and 221 N. Fountain Streets; declaring the area included in such plan blighted pursuant to Section 353.020(2) RSMo; authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Development Agreement with the Marquette Plaza 353 Redevelopment Corporation; and authorizing certain tax abatement within the plan area.

Resolutions

A resolution authorizing the city manager to execute a consulting agreement with EPIC Systems Inc. for two additional wastewater pump station sites.
