Consent ordinances

Approved the record plat of Rock Creek Meadows Townhouses Phase 4 and 5.

* Granted a special-use permit to Phillip McClellan for constructing, maintaining and operating gasoline pumps at 1101 William St.

* Granted a special-use permit to JJP Investments for constructing, maintaining and operating a convenience store with gasoline pumps at the northeast corner of Sprigg Street and Shawnee Parkway.

* Established utility rates for the city by amending the city code relating to solid waste fees, water rates and sewer service charges.

* Adopted the annual operating budget for the city for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2006.

* Accepted a waterline and fire hydrant easement from DSW Development Corporation for construction of an underground water line and fire hydrant for the Silver Springs Medical Center.

* Vacated the city's interest in a 50-foot-wide right of way on a portion of Lisa Drive.

* Authorized the mayor to execute a water system interconnection guidelines agreement with Jackson.

* Amended the city code by establishing stop signs on Kurre Lane at its intersection with Melrose Avenue.

* Accepted various easements from Dalhousie for improvements to serve Dalhousie Subdivisions.

* Accepted various easements and a special warranty deed from DSW Development Corporation for the Kell Farm Drive improvements.

* Accepted a permanent water wells easement from Richard Griffith and Theodore Holzum for the drilling of water wells.

* Appropriated funds for operating expenditures, debt service payments, capital expenditures and transfers for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2006.

* Accepted a quit claim deed from California Homes for right of way on a portion of Benton Hill Road.

Resolutions

* Authorized the city manager to execute amendments to the Section 125 plan document and to adopt all further necessary regulatory amendments to that plan document recommended by Marshall & Ilsley Trust Co.

* Authorized the city manager to execute a contract between the city and Old Town Cape for the Old Town Cape Main Street Program.

* Authorized the city manager to execute a contract with Sweepster Attachments for the purchase of a runway sweeper for the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport.

* Authorized the city manager to execute Addendum No. 4 to the general engineering services agreement with Waters Engineering for the wastewater treatment plant project.

* Authorized the city manager to execute an agreement with Nip Kelley Equipment Co. for the Alma Schrader and Parkview Sidewalk Project.

* Authorized the city manager to execute a release of lien for 1124 S. Ranney St. for the Federal Home Loan Bank Grant Program.

* Authorized the city manager to execute a general agreement for engineering services with Crawford, Bunte and Brammeier.

* Tabled a motion supporting the Cape Girardeau County Transit Authority's new fixed route bus system and rapid transit vehicles program.

Liquor license

* Granted conditional renewal of a group of liquor licenses.

Other

* Accepted into the city's system the street, storm sewers, sanitary sewers and water main improvements to serve Timber Creek Subdivision in Sewer District 8, and releasing the escrow in the amount of $49,230.24.

* Set a July 17 public hearing on the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission to deny the request of Westside Investments a special-use permit to construct a new convenience store with gasoline pumps at the northwest corner of Lexington Avenue and Perryville Road, located in an R-1, single family residential district.
