* Approved the record plat of Rock Creek Meadows Townhouses Phase 3.

* Approved the record plat of Orchard Park.

* Set an election to extend the half-cent transportation sales tax for another five years.

* Removed final reading of a measure for issuance of special obligation bonds and replaced it with first reading of a new measure spelling out the bond-issue financing.

* Authorized the issuance of $8.33 million in special obligation bonds.

* Approved the acquisition of property for the improvement of Broadway between Perry Avenue and Houck Place.

* Granted a special-use permit to Lorenzo and Alesha Martin for purposes of maintaining and operating a child-care facility at 411 S. Ellis St.

* Granted a special-use permit to Rhodes Properties to construct and operate a community unit development at 1110 N. Cape Rock Drive.

* Rezoned 505 Optimist Drive from industrial to residential.

* Adopted revised flood insurance maps.

* Granted a special-use permit to the city of Cape Girardeau for purposes of constructing and operating a telecommunications tower at 2007 Southern Expressway.

* Amended the city code relating to attendance of members of boards and commissions.

* Approved a supplemental agreement with the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission for improvements at the intersection of U.S. 61 and Cape Rock Drive.

* Executed an amended plan document with Marshall & Ilsley Trust Co. for the city of Cape Girardeau benefits plan.

* Approved a contract with Koehler Engineering and Land Surveying Inc.

* Amended an engineering services contract with Koehler Engineering and Land Surveying Inc. for design and modifications to the intersection of Clark Avenue and Broadway.
