Consent ordinances, Second and third readings.:
Raised municipal court costs.
Changed regulations of mobile and modular homes.
Required subdivisions to install sidewalks.
Accepted a temporary spoil disposal easement from Foeste Nursery, Inc. for the Cape LaCroix/Walker Branch flood control project.
Appropriated contingency funds.
New ordinances, first readings:
Accepted a permanent easement from Union Electric for sewer maintenance at the La Croix substation.
Established the boundaries of Lateral Sewer District No. 8-M, a subdivision of Major District No. 8, approving the plans and authorizing the construction of sanitary lateral sewers in Lateral Sewer District No. 8-M, under a private contract for Forest Hills Estates.
Authorized the acquisition of property for the Mount Auburn Road extension.
Levied a special assessment for the improvement of Dixie Boulevard, Jasmine Lane, Magnolia Avenue and Delwin Street, and authorized final payment to J.W. Strack Co. for improvements.
Accepted quit claim deeds and storm drainage easements in B & E Subdivision.
Authorized the mayor to execute a special warranty deed transferring property along North Sprigg Street to Holigan Family Investments.
Approved the record plat of Harris KFC Subdivision No.1. First, second and third readings.
Resolutions. Read and passed:
Acknowledged receipt of an annexation petition and set a public hearing Aug. 4 regarding the proposed annexation for (County Park and Watkins property).
Authorized the city manager to execute an agreement with Drury Southwest Inc. for construction of the Ramsey Branch Trunk Sewer, Phase I, Read and passed.
Declared it necessary to make certain sewer improvements in Twin Lakes Subdivision.
Authorized the city manager to execute a memorandum of agreement with Southeast Missouri State University for repair of Normal Avenue from Pacific Street west to Henderson Avenue.
Appointed:
Denny E. Stitz to the Board of Examiners.
Steven A. MacDougall to the Cable Television Advisory Committee.
Roy Halbert to the Board of Appeals.
Other:
Adopted the City of Cape Girardeau Annexation Plan with one amendment.
Accepted the improvement plans for Beaver Creek Estates Subdivision.
Accepted the improvements to Runway 10/28, Taxiway A and the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport and authorizing final payment to PR Developers, Inc.
Set a public hearing for Aug. 18 on the request of Larry W. McCulley and Betty L. McCulley to rezone Victorian Estates Subdivision from R-1, single-family residential district, to R-2 single-family residential district.
Accepted the preliminary plat of Beaver Creek Estates.
Accepted the improvements to the railroad bridge at Good Hope and Fountain streets, including demolition of the existing railroad bridge and authorizing final payment to Nip Kelley Equipment Co. Inc.
