Consent ordinances

-- Approved an ordinance establishing the boundaries of Lateral Sewer District 14-1-C-1, approving the plans and authorizing the construction of a system of sanitary lateral sewers under a private contract subject to certain provisions.

-- Approved an ordinance authorizing the acquisition of property for the Hopper Road Phase II project.

-- Approved an ordinance declaring it necessary to make certain sewer improvements in Lateral Sewer District No. 14-1-F-10 along Evergreen Drive.

-- Approved an ordinance accepting easements from Kenneth M. and Mary C. Oberlohr for sanitary sewers to serve certain properties along Perryville Road and Evergreen Drive.

-- Approved an ordinance declaring it necessary to improve Missouri Street from Mississippi to Scott streets for a distance of approximately 450 feet.

-- Approved an ordinance approving the record plat of Aspen Park Townhouses Phase II Subdivision.

New ordinances

-- Approved an ordinance vacating the city's interest in a utility easement in Cape Meadows Subdivision.

-- Approved an ordinance amending the Code of Ordinance by changing the zoning of part of 238 S. Spanish St. from M-1 to R-4.

-- Approved an ordinance granting a special use permit to Ruth A. and Earl H. Norman, trustees, and the North Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for purposes of constructing, maintaining and operating a church at the northeast corner of Lexington Avenue and Steven Drive. Applicant has requested emergency reading.

-- Approved an ordinance authorizing the acquisition of property for the sanitary sewer improvement project, lift stations and force mains.

-- Approved an ordinance accepting deeds from various property owners for the Hopper Road bridge project.

Resolutions

Appointments

-- Appointed Michael Keefe to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.

-- Appointed Peter Hirschburg to the Cable TV Advisory Board.

Liquor licenses

-- Granted conditional approval of a temporary 5 percent by the drink license for Fred Higdon, d/b/a SEMO District Fair Association for an event to be held in Arena Park from Sept. 14-19. The four locations will be as follows: northwest corner, southwest corner, south and north of the Arena Building.

Other

-- Met in executive session to discuss litigation and land acquisition.
