About 85 area supporters of a proposed Cape Girardeau casino gathered Friday afternoon at the site where they hope the $125 million facility will soon be built.

The Yes for Gaming Committee also unveiled more renderings of Isle of Capri's proposal as well as informed voters that on Nov. 2, the casino question will be on the back of the ballot.

"Voters need to know that they're going to have to turn the ballot over to vote," said committee member Trent Summers. "We don't want there to be any confusion."

New renderings were also released to the media, including images of the interior of the gaming area, the event and conference center, the Lone Wolf Bar & Terrace and the rooftop Skydeck Bar & Grill.

Other specifics released Friday include that the gaming floor would be 41,500 square feet, would have 1,200 slot machines, 28 table games and a video poker bar with 12 positions. The event and conference center would be 10,742 square feet, have 800 theater-style seats, 450 banquet-style seats and a room that can be subdivided into six smaller meeting rooms.

The Lone Wolf Bar & Terrace would also have a large stage, a large dance floor and would seat 200 customers. The Lone Wolf bar would have a 3,000-square-foot outdoor terrace seating area that would seat 90 guests.

The Skydeck Bar would seat 100 people and include a 4,800-square-foot lounge.

Friday, the supporters spoke about the next objective: getting as many voters as possible to vote yes Nov. 2.

"Our goal is to raise the level of awareness and for supporters to join our team," said committee treasurer Danny Essner. "We need to get a wide margin of victory to send a message to the Missouri Gaming Commission."

If voters approve the measure, the Missouri Gaming Commission would still have to select Cape Girardeau over competing communities in St. Louis and the Kansas City area.
