CAPE DEVELOPER PURCHASES 33 ACRES ALONG BROADVIEW

Cape Girardeau developer David Gerlach has purchased a 33-acre commercial tract of land along Broadview in Cape Girardeau.

The land extends from the Central Hardware building to the American Superstores lot.

The property was taken over by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in September of 1992. The previous owner was Cape Centre Development.

Gerlach said he is talking to investors who have expressed some interest in the property and expects to make a decision on the direction he will take in about a month.
