Tourists visiting various high-traffic tourism centers throughout Missouri can touch a button at a kiosk and find out about Cape Girardeau.
The kiosks are in the Missouri Tourist Centers in Kansas City, Joplin, Rock Port, St. Louis, Hannibal and New Madrid plus Bass Pro Shops, the Country Club Plaza Visitors Center, Union Station, St. Louis Science Center, Grant's Farm and the Anheuser-Busch Brewery.
The displays use touch screen technology, color screen graphics, printouts, direct phone-line service, audio and a tracking system that monitors all display usage and responses.
Convention and Visitors Bureau Advisory Board Chairman Gary Bunting said the displays are "another marketing tool which will help Cape Girardeau tourism with a constant source of information in addition to our brochures and pamphlets. Tourists can push a button and print what they need."
