The Cape Girardeau City Council on Monday, Sept. 16, will consider agreeing with BOLD Marketing to service the Convention and Visitors Bureau, during its meeting at 5 p.m. at City Hall, 44 N, Lorimier St.
The agreement with BOLD and the city is to promote Cape Girardeau tourism. According to the agenda report, BOLD submitted the lowest bid of the two responses for $73,200
The agreement stated the monthly retainer fee for the services would amount to $4,000.
“Services that will be included within the contract will be general account services to include social media content development, scheduling and updating; account management; campaign creative and full development; social and digital paid ad development; optimization, analysis and reporting of all ad platforms; Blog and newsletter development; video and photography services; grant support; full media support and strategic planning,” the agenda report stated.
The report stated that BOLD would provide services that ensure the Convention and Visitors Bureau gives Cape Girardeau regional and statewide exposure.
The agreement would be set to start in this month and run through June 2026.
“This Agreement will continue to renew on a yearly basis unless either party provides written notice of the intent to terminate the Agreement within that sixty (60) day time period prior to the end of each Term,” the agreement stated.
The Convention and Visitors Bureau is located at the Osage Centre, 1625 N. Kingshighway.
