The Cape Girardeau Parks & Recreation Department will sponsor a two-day craft fair at Capaha Park this weekend. The fair begins at 9 a.m. both days. The Cape Girardeau Parks & Recreation Department will sponsor a two-day craft fair at Capaha Park this weekend.

The fair begins at 9 a.m. both days. It will last until 7 p.m. Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday. There is no admission charge.

Penny Wingerter, recreation coordinator for the parks department, said the craft fair was planned in conjunction with Mother's Day.

"We hope people will come out and bring their moms, because there will be a lot of gorgeous Mother's Day gifts out here," she said.

Wood crafts, ceramics, T-shirts, crochet items, knitted items and afghans will be available for sale, along with other types of crafts.

"It will be a nice weekend activity and a good way to come out and enjoy the park," she said.
