WHAT'S THE BIGGEST NEED YOU HOPE TO ADDRESS IF ELECTED?
We will begin the next school year with a new superintendent. Also the state and federal governments are making daily decisions and changes that will impact the district financially. There will be new teacher and superintendent evaluations for us to follow and different ways to measure student progress for us to manage. I plan to get to work right away with our new superintendent to assure that he and the board are on the same track to make District 32 the best it can be. The board and he have to work together and trust each other for us to go forward in a positive way. I want to make sure our line of communication is open with him. I also will continue to educate myself to keep up with the laws and government requirements as we move forward.
WHY ARE YOU THE BEST CANDIDATE?
I have no personal agenda in my board service. I put the best interest of the students in the forefront of every decision I make. I spend time outside of board meetings educating myself in all aspects of board service. I hold a "Master Board Member Award" which is the top level presented by Missouri School Boards' Association in their certified board member program. I am a compassionate person who cares deeply about the students and the staff of the district.
