__What makes you the most qualified candidate for this position?:__

I have previous experience serving on the school board. I am active in my kids education. I am proud to have graduated Delta High School and wish to help as much as I can in assisting the students to obtain a quality education.

__What do you see as the opportunities and challenges in the district?:__

Our students have a great opportunity to obtain a quality education at Delta. The student-to-teacher ratio is such that students can spend time with the teacher to obtain personal instructions/teaching. With every business/school, funding can be an issue and careful planning of use of those funds are a must for present and future student success. Part of this planning will include selecting and maintaining quality leaders and teachers within the school.

__How will you communicate your work to your constituents?:__

I live within the community, attend multiple school and community events and am also open to listen to parents/student concerns. I would encourage everyone to attend the open sessions of each and every school board meeting to have the opportunity to bring their concerns and the needs of the students directly to the school board and administration staff of the school district. Personally, I would be available in person, phone, or e-mail.

__What are the factors on which you will base your decisions as a school board member?:__

Decisions should first be based on what is best for all the students, teachers, community and the school district as a whole. When faced with an issue, I would base decisions on the facts and would caution to make a decision in the heat of the moment.
