The recession has been challenging. At this point, Bollinger County's financial state is stable, but with many opportunities for improvement. It is important to address these potential improvements and make wise choices. The best way for Bollinger County to improve is to better utilize the resources, people, and tools we have available. County officials need to work for the residents of Bollinger County to address their concerns and to make efficient and effective decisions.
First, we need to insure that the businesses we currently have are able to operate profitably. Once other prospective businesses see the opportunity for success in Bollinger County, they are more likely to open here as well. We could help establish job growth and retention by working to secure tax incentives and grants for our county's businesses. Promoting job growth would supply our county with more tax revenues and increase our ability to fund improvements.
My biggest priority is to make sure that the money being spent is spent in the most beneficial and efficient ways possible. By becoming more accountable and aware of how our county's money is spent, we will be able to better invest in our people, businesses, and roads. Communication is also a priority. I believe that the residents of Bollinger County, as taxpayers, should be informed about how and where their money is being spent.
I promise to be fair, honest, and work hard for you. I will listen to our residents, visit our businesses, and drive our county roads. I will improve communication and make myself available to address your concerns. My management experience at Coca-Cola has provided me with the knowledge necessary to operate within a budget, manage labor, and respectfully address concerns. I would like to ask for your trust and support in the August 7th primary.
