__What makes you the most qualified candidate for this position?:__

With 29 years of experience in education I feel I am well qualified to seek a seat on Perry County District's school board. My experience as an administrator, professional development trainer, technology coordinator, college adviser, adjunct professor, and classroom teacher gives me a firm foundation to be a part of planning the education of our children.

__What do you see as the opportunities and challenges in the district?:__

Our District's Annual Performance Report score continues to grow. The APR gained 11 percentage points between 2013 and 2014. Continuing this trend is vital. The district is moving forward with providing current technology for students as well. Additional space is needed for our district, enrollment is at an all time high and we are outgrowing our facilities.

__How will you communicate your work to your constituents?:__

I will always make myself available through attendance at community and school events and through other means of communication.

__What are the factors on which you will base your decisions as a school board member?:__

I will always keep in mind that decisions made by myself along with the Board of Education have an immediate effect on a child' future. Issues need to be thoroughly researched before making a decision and the question always needs to be asked "Is this what is best for students?"
