WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ISSUE FACING PERRYVILLE PUBLIC SCHOOLS?:

I intend to hold the same high standards that have been established. The challenge will be to maintain those standards with the present economic restraints. I look forward to improving communication between the board and the staff. As a lifetime member of the Missouri State Teacher's Association, I am taking my focus statement "Children First" from that organization. I believe all my decisions should focus on what is best for the students of Perry County School District No. 32.

WHAT IN YOUR BACKGROUND OR EDUCATION MAKES YOU QUALIFIED FOR THIS OFFICE?:

I have an AS in early childhood education, BS and MS in elementary education plus many additional hours in continuing education. I taught kindergarten 31 years at Perry County District No. 32 and several years of teacher education for Mineral Area College. I have held various offices in community, regional, and state organizations.
