Current Board Member of PWP-Parents without Partners.
__What is the most important issue facing the fire district?:__
As a board member, I would work with the Fire Department to lower the ISO rating. This would mean lower insurance rates for home owners and businesses in the district. Also I want to make sure our firefighters are getting up to date training and education so they can properly and safely protect the community. Along with the specialized training in Fire Fighting this would also include basic and advanced medical training.
__How would you describe an ideal board member?:__
As a ideal board member I would work well with the community and the Fire Department. I would have best of interest and safety for the Fire Department in mind. I would have a professional mindset when making business and financial decisions. If needed I would encourage Fire Fighters to seek advice from the Cape County Chaplains Unit helping them with PTSD.
__What makes you the most qualified candidate for this position?:__
I have a great personality and I work well with all. I have been a Police Officer since 1982 handling all types of situations and people. I served as a Police Office/Detective for Cape Gir. City for 18.7 years. I'm going on 14 years at SEMO Department of Public Safety, currentrly a Sergeant. I graduated from SEMO, Cape Gir. Law Enforcement Academy, National Training Center of Polygraph Science and Jackson High School.
