WHAT'S THE BIGGEST NEED YOU HOPE TO ADDRESS IF ELECTED:

The Board of Trustees is charged with multiple responsibilities of which the most significant one is providing oversight in leading the Health Center toward its' mission and protecting the health of the county. The three leading health issues that have been identified are: (1) increased rates of smoking in the county especially higher rates of smoking during pregnancy, (2) slightly higher rates of obesity than the state, and (3) slightly lower immunization rates than the state.

WHY ARE YOU THE BEST CANDIDATE:

I believe I am the best candidate because I am currently on the board and I have had the experience of being on the board for a number of years. Also, I was formerly a partner in a local CPA firm and I believe my financial experience will continue to benefit Cape Girardeau County Health in the future.
