National research on breast cancer prevention is the topic of the May 21 Woman to Woman luncheon.
The meeting will be held at noon in conference rooms A and B at St. Francis Medical Center.
Dr. Stanley Sides, president of the St. Francis medical staff and medical director of the Womancare Department at St. Francis, will be the featured speaker.
Sides will discuss a national research study on the use of the drug tomoxifen in the prevention of breast cancer. Women considered at high risk for breast cancer may be interested in participating; 16,000 women nationwide are expected to be entered in the study.
