CANCER GALA SET MARCH 4

The American Cancer Society's annual gala will be held March 4 at the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau. The theme is "A night at the Coppa."

This year's co-chairmen are Dr. and Mrs. Rickey Lents, Mr. and Mrs. Rick Blattner, Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Ford and Dr. and Mrs. Paul Thompson.

Last year, the gala raised more than $53,000. The goal for 1995 is $58,000.

Laura Green and Jerrie Gerlach are chairmen of the silent auction committee. Decorations will be coordinated by Deborah Wooldridge, John Sanders, Rick Warner and Mike Thies. Sheila and Darrell Saire are coordinating table decorations. Mary Ann Daniel will be chairman of corporate sponsors. Chairmen of the cocktail parties are Sara Holt, Kerrye Foley and Toni Zimmer.

The dinner-dance committee members are Jeannie and Mark Goodman, Angie and David Kaelin, Cheryl and August Ritter and Chris and Jay Sheets. Trisha Stahly is chairman of the raffle, and Jill Smirl and Julie Collins are publicity chairmen.

Co-chairmen for the list review are Traci Feuerhahn and Stephanie Kasten. Chairman of the printing committee is Jeff Bierman and treasurers are Steve and Laura Green. Cherie Herbst is responsible for addressing, Sue Sheets for reservations and Marsha Edwards for individual sponsors.
