MOKANE, Mo. (AP) -- Law officers are tightlipped about a body that was found along the Missouri River in Callaway County.
A reserve deputy hunting mushrooms near the Mokane (moh-KAYN') access area of the Missouri River on Sunday found what is believed to be a woman's body. Investigators say the body has not been identified.
An autopsy is being conducted Monday and deputies have shut down the river access area for the entire day as investigators search for clues.
In June 2007 a car belonging to missing area resident Jasmine Haslag was found in the same general vicinity along Missouri 94. She disappeared while driving to Bland, Mo., to pick up her children.
Early last month authorities classified Haslag's disappearance as a homicide and formed a task force to investigate.
