Millersville Rural Fire Protection District will be celebrating their 20th year reunion of the fire service with a dedication of a new fire station in Burfordsville and picnic at Bollinger Mill State Park. The festivities begin at 2 p.m. at the new station across from the old Burfordsville school.

Wednesday July 30

New Salem Baptist Church on Hwy. 51 north of Marble Hill will host missionaries from Mexico at 6:30 p.m.

Sunday Aug. 3

The Jackson Heritage Association will sponsor a display of Mickey Mouse collectibles at the Oliver House in Jackson from 1-4:30 p.m. Steve Stroder will exhibit numerous items from his personal collection of Mickey Mouse memorabilia.

Wednesday Aug. 6

Discount Days at Jackson Municipal Pool, its Dollar Day from 1-8 p.m.

Monday through Friday Aug. 4-8

Emanuel United Church of Christ and First Presbyterian Church in Jackson will hold their annual joint Vacation Bible School at Emanuel Church, 304 East Adams, Aug. 4-8. The Hours are 8:30-11:30 a.m. for ages three through the sixth grade.

Saturday Aug. 9

The Trail of Tears Chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation will hold its First annual Big Game Banquet and Exhibition at the Holiday Inn Convention Center.

Sunday Aug. 10

Discount Days at Jackson Municipal Pool, its Grandparents Day from 1-5 p.m.

Monday Aug. 11

All girls grades K-12 who live in the Jackson-Oak Ridge School Districts are invited to the Jackson City Park, pavillion #6 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. There will be a park scavenger hunt, singing songs and learning about the Girl Scout program.
