CAIRO, Ill. -- Magnolia Manor will hold its first luncheon of the fall season on Sept. 6.
Reservations must be made by calling (618) 734-0201 during business hours. The deadline for reservations is 5 p.m. Sept. 4.
Serving time is from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The luncheons are hosted by the Cairo Historical Association and are held to support the four-story mansion.
Magnolia Manor, which once hosted President Grant, now welcomes the public Mondays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The mansion is recognized as one of the finest examples of Italianate architecture, and houses a lavish collection of Victorian antiques.
Magnolia Manor is at 2700 Washington Avenue, Cairo, Ill.
