"Banking on Success" is the theme for the second annual Southeast Missouri Business Seminar to be held at the Show Me Center on Southeast Missouri State University campus April 8.

The major thrust of the seminar will be on the topics of financing and marketing, said Keith Russell, co-chairman of the event, which is co-sponsored by the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce's University Relations Committee and the university's College of Business Administration.

"The event is designed to give a boost to the business community," said Russell.

The morning agenda will be devoted to two major presentations marketing strategy for retailers and commercial financing for companies of all sizes.

The financing panel will be comprised of presidents from the seven Cape Girardeau banks.

Andrew Craig III of St. Louis, chairman and CEO of Boatmen's Bancshares Inc., will be keynote speaker during the luncheon.

The cost of the conference is $40 per person, which includes lunch. The luncheon only is $25. The luncheon fee for college students is $10.
