BRIDGE WRECK INJURES MAN
CARUTHERSVILLE -- A Tennessee man suffered serious injuries Wednesday afternoon when his pickup hit a tractor-trailer on the Mississippi River Bridge. Allen Scholes, 25, of Waverly, Tenn., was transported to Pemiscot Memorial Hospital. CARUTHERSVILLE -- A Tennessee man suffered serious injuries Wednesday afternoon when his pickup hit a tractor-trailer on the Mississippi River Bridge.
Allen Scholes, 25, of Waverly, Tenn., was transported to Pemiscot Memorial Hospital.

Scholes' Ford pickup truck was eastbound on Route 155 four miles east of Caruthersville when it ran into the rear of a Mack tractor-trailer truck driven by Edward Johnson, 58, of Richland Center, Wisc.
Johnson was not injured.
The accident occurred at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday.
