Bridge repairs scheduled for Cape County

North- and southbound Interstate 55 and Route Y in Cape Girardeau County will be reduced to one lane Sept. 8 and 9 while Missouri Department of Transportation crews make routine bridge repairs.

The bridge on Route Y is over I-55, which will affect the interstate from LaSalle Avenue to U.S. 61. Route Y will be reduced between County Road 301 and Adobe Lane.

Weather permitting, the work will be done from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Signs will mark the work zone, and motorists are urged to use caution while traveling near the area.
