Bridge repairs reduce I-55 to one lane

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Southbound Interstate 55 in New Madrid County will be reduced to one lane with a 12-foot width restriction while Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform bridge repairs. The section of road is at Route M between Route EE and Highway 162. Route M will also be closed for the bridge repairs. Weather permitting, work will be done from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily Tuesday through May 31.
