Construction work on the new Diversion Channel bridge on northbound Interstate 55 near Scott City will delay traffic next week, state highway officials said. Motorists can expect delays on the northbound I-55 ramp at Nash Road, Tuesday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Missouri Department of Transportation officials said. The construction project is expected to be completed by late winter. The northbound bridge on I-55 is being replaced with a new, three-lane structure. The third lane will serve as an acceleration lane for northbound on-ramp traffic.
