Local Cub Scout packs and Boy Scout troops are holding annual School Nights to Join Scouting. The first events are tonight.
Boys in grades one through five may become new Cub or Boy Scouts at the meetings. Parents should look for flyers being sent home with boys describing the program. All new Scouts this fall will receive a St. Louis Blues Hockey team T-shirt.
Tonight's School Nights all begin at 7 at Nell Holcomb, Chaffee, Perryville Knights of Columbus Hall and Franklin in Cape Girardeau.
On Sept. 8, Trinity Lutheran School will hold a Scout night.
On Sept. 9, Leopold Grade School will hold Scout night.
On Sept. 10, Orchard Elementary in Jackson, Washington, Jefferson and Alma Schrader in Cape Girardeau, North Elementary in Fruitland, Meadow Heights and Woodland will hold Scout nights.
On Sept. 14, Oak Ridge will hold Scout night.
On Sept. 15, Clippard Elementary in Cape Girardeau will hold Scout Night.
On Sept. 17, Scott City Nights of Columbus Hall and St. Augustine School will hold Scout nights.
On Sept. 22, Delta grade school will hold Scout night.
On Sept. 24, Advance elementary school will hold Scout night.
