A 10-year-old Jackson boy sustained serious injuries in an ATV accident Friday in Cape Girardeau County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Parker King was taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center after the driver of an Polaris Ranger, in which Parker was a passenger, lost control while traveling down a hill and the ATV overturned. A 10-year-old Jackson boy sustained serious injuries in an ATV accident Friday in Cape Girardeau County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Parker King was taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center after the driver of an Polaris Ranger, in which Parker was a passenger, lost control while traveling down a hill and the ATV overturned. Parker was ejected from the vehicle. He was later transferred to a St. Louis hospital, according to a Saint Francis spokeswoman.

The accident, near Royal Oak Drive, occurred shortly before 3 p.m.

The 13-year-old driver of the ATV, Justice Crosnoe, was not injured.
