CARUTHERSVILLE, Mo. -- A woman was questioned after her husband told police she stabbed him.

A 2:39 a.m. Monday, Caruthersville police officers were called to Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in reference to a stabbing.

According to Caruthersville City Marshal Tony Jones, a 27-year-old Caruthersville man told officers he was stabbed by his 31-year-old wife. The woman was located at Taven Apartments and taken to the Caruthersville Police Department.

After questioning, she was released pending the filing of formal charges through the Pemiscot County Prosecutor's office, Jones said in a news release.
