Six people were injured in separate accidents in Bollinger County Saturday.
Terry Hendrix, 17, of Sturdivant, and Crystal Gunn, 15, of Lowndes, were admitted to the intensive-care unit of St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau following the afternoon accident on Route C two miles east of Arab.
Hendrix attempted to pass a vehicle driven by Roy Whittley, 21, of Bloomfield, striking the Whittley pickup and rolling over several times. Gunn was a passenger in the Hendrix vehicle. Another passenger, Darick Stotts, 18, of Zalma was treated at the hospital and released. Whittley was not hurt.
Michael Brown, 35, and Melinda Brown, 34, both of Dexter, and Sherlena Martin, 24, also of Dexter, were injured in a two-car accident at 6:30 p.m. on County Road 708, 10 miles south of Grassy. The Browns and Martin were being treated in the emergency room at St. Francis Saturday night.
Brown, who was driving northbound in a van, was struck head-on by a Blazer driven by Shonda Howard, 21, of Zalma.
Howard was not injured.
