The boil order was issued Wednesday after coliform and E. coli bacteria were found in samples from the water district, based in north Cape Girardeau County.

"Adequate chlorine residuals have been confirmed throughout the distribution system, and water samples collected on May 21 and 22 have tested absent for coliform bacteria," stated a news release Saturday from the agency.
