KENNETT, Mo. -- Authorities are investigating the death of a 49-year-old Kennett resident following the discovery of a body at Jones' Park.
According to Craig Crow of the Kennett Police Department's Strategic Response Team, the department received a call from officials at South Elementary School at about 1 p.m. Friday. School officials said a body was on the ground at Jones' Park, near the maintenance shed. Police officers found a 49-year-old resident of the Kennett Boarding Home, according to Crow.
The initial investigation shows no signs of foul play, he said.
The subject's name was being withheld, pending the notification of family members.
