FORT WORTH, Texas -- Cimarron B. Boardman of Jackson competed against 66 entries, earning a top 10 finish in calf-roping competition at the American Quarter Horse Youth Association World Championship Show, August 6-14.
"This is a great honor for a youth exhibitor in American Quarter Horse Association Arena Competition," said AQHA Executive Vice President Bill Brewer. "Cimarron should be congratulated for this prestigious accomplishment."
The AQHYA World Championship Show is the pinnacle event for the 30,000-member American Quarter Horse Youth Association. The show featured 2,064 entries from around the world, competing for 30 world championships. This made it the largest youth world championship horse show.
Horses must earn a predetermined number of points in AQHA-approved shows between May 1, 1998 and April 30, 1999.
