BLOOD DRIVES SCHEDULED

Several American Red Cross blood drives have been scheduled around the area.

On Sunday, Aug. 4 from 8 to noon, a blood drive will be held at the St. Denis Parish Center at St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton.

The St. Vincent Women's Council will also hold a blood drive Aug. 4 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the St. Vincent DePaul Parish Center meeting room, 742 Forest in Cape Girardeau.

On Monday, Aug. 5, the Jackson Community Blood Drive will be held from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the American Legion Hall on North High Street.

All blood types are needed, but Type O is particularly needed. For more information, call the American Red Cross at 1-800-GIVE-LIFE.
