Southeast Missouri State University drama awards will be presented Friday during the Black Mask Dramatic Society's annual banquet. The awards ceremony begins at 7 p.m. at the Drury Lodge. For Outstanding Service on a Single Production: Scott Hamann, St. Peteres, Properties, "The Odd Couple"; Magi Hoeltge, O'Fallon, Production Stage Manager, "The Fantasticks"; Doug Pecka, Washington, Lighting Design, "The Odd Couple"; Shauna Thieman, Raymondville, Production Stage Manager, "Bits of the Bard"; Kara Cracraft, Cape Girardeau, Lighting Director, "Bits of the Bard"; and Miki McNeal, Production Stage Manager, "Romeo and Juliet."

For Outstanding Service for an Entire Season: Pecka, Sharon Wickerham, Hematite; Ann Trimberger, Cape Girardeau.

For Best Actress in a Leading Role: Cheryl Young, Herculaneum, as Olive in "The Odd Couple"; Julie Ammerman, Florissant, as Florence in "The Odd Couple"; Kara Cracraft, Cape Girardeau, as Luisa in "The Fantasticks"; Crites as Juliet in "Romeo and Juliet."

For Best Actor in a Leading Role: Powers as El Gallo in "The Fantasticks"; and Jay Cross, Billings, Mont., as Romeo in "Romeo and Juliet."

These are the Davis-Barnett Awards, established by two Cape Girardeau businesswomen, the late Elaine ("Tommie") Davis and Jane Barnett, in addition to another award, the Unsung Hero, for which nominations are not announced.

Other awards, not in the Davis-Barnett series, may also be presented.
